Filming Notice: "Mayor of Kingstown Ltd." filming in Burford

The County of Brant will be the filming location of ‘Mayor of Kingstown Ltd.’, a Paramount+ production directed by Taylor Sheridan, the director of the hit series ‘Yellowstone’ with Kevin Costner.

The television show follows the story of an ex-cop who owns an outreach center in a fictitious Michigan town who tries to help former criminals leaving prison return to society, working as a broker between the police and gangs to keep the peace.

Filming will take place at two locations within the County of Brant on Friday, June 11, 2021 and Monday, June 14, 2021. The production team will utilize the Burford Agricultural Society and Fairgrounds located at 6 Park Avenue as a base camp location from June 10 - June 15, 2021.

Filming Schedule

  • Friday June 11, 2021 at 9:00 pm (dusk)
    • Filming will take place at Twin Spring Cottage Condo Community and Camping (99 Fourth Concession Road, Burford)
    • The production includes a professionally controlled combustion scene (explosion). Both 1st Unit safety and paramedic services will be on site.
    • All those within Twin Spring Cottage Condo Community have been notified in person, as they are required to be located to a safe designated space during the time of explosion.
  • Monday June 14, 2021 between the hours of 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
    • Filming will take place at Triggers and Bows (340 Bishopsgate Road. Burford).
    • A request for intermittent traffic stoppages on Bishopsgate Road (Colborne St. W and Eighth Concession Road) between the hours of 7:00 am – 3:00 pm was received and approved through the County’s special events (SEAT) process. Traffic control will be conducted by Ontario Provincial Police Paid Duty Officers.
    • Residences that may be affected will receive a hand delivered notice on Friday, June 11, 2021 by the production company.
