Highlighted Funding Programs for Businesses 

Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy - Canadian businessesnon-profit organizations, or charities who have seen a drop in revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic may be eligible for a subsidy to cover part of their commercial rent or property expenses, 

Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy - As a Canadian employer who has seen a drop in revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you may be eligible for a subsidy to cover part of your employee wages, retroactive to March 15. This subsidy will enable you to re-hire workers, help prevent further job losses, and ease you back into normal operations.

Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (Via Enterprise Brant) - In order to provide targeted assistance to the small towns and communities we serve in Brantford and Brant county, Enterprise Brant will focus on assisting “main street” businesses, such as retail shops, restaurants, corner stores, and businesses of strategic importance to their communities, with loans up to $40,000. 

Regional Relief and Recovery Fund 2 (Via Enterprise Brant) - Enterprise Brant now has a grant program for consulting and training assistance to help businesses and not-for-profits pivot due to COVID challenges.  This can include strategic planning, marketing plans, social media consulting, sales and market research, building a virtual sales platform, etc.  Businesses can apply for up to 50% of the costs and not – for -  profits, 100%.

Canada Recovery Benefit - The CRB provides $500 per week for up to 26 weeks for workers who have stopped working or had their income reduced by at least 50% due to COVID-19, and who are not eligible for Employment Insurance 

Coming Soon - Ontario Small Business Support Grant - Starting at $10,000 for all eligible businesses, the grant will provide businesses with dollar for dollar funding to a maximum of $20,000 to help cover decreased revenue expected as a result of the Provincewide Shutdown.
